I wasted three months online using Google to try and land an oil rig gig, but it was still the same old online nonsense. All I could find was engineering jobs and other highly specific jobs requiring a specific types of education. I spent hours and hours submitting my resume online only to get Sorry, you suck emails, or never hearing a word and never knowing if anyone actually looked at my resume I finally gave up and asked my mom to borrow $3000 to take an oil rig course in Alberta.
